GDPR

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force in 2018 bringing changes to Data Protection rules as we know it. Sahar Bhaimia will talk you through the changes ahead and the impact that it will have on, and those working within, the legal services industry. This session will also encourage one another to share experience on researching recent developments in this area and how to make sure you are maximising the resources available to your organisation.

Following the talk there will be an opportunity to network over some drinks.

Sahar Bhaimia trained at Simmons & Simmons LLP and practiced IT, data protection, consumer and commercial law until 2007. After completing her Masters in 2008, she worked as an editor for Practical Law, covering consumer and commercial law until 2014. Sahar is now a freelance/contract lawyer providing legal services, professional support and knowledge management services to help lawyers, compliance and privacy professionals, focusing on data protection and consumer protection.
