What is Competition law? What do Competition lawyers do?

If you are a little hazy on concepts such as Abuse of dominant position, Horizontal and Vertical agreements, Merger control then help is at hand…

CLIG is delighted to welcome Jane Stephenson, Principal Knowledge Advisor for Competition, EU and Trade at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP to provide an insight into this area of legal practice. This seminar will look at the policy goals behind Competition law and outline how the legislation and case law has developed. Jane will also provide an insight into the day-to-day work of Competition lawyers and the ways in which information professionals can assist their work. Finally, the seminar will offer a “jargon buster” for some key Competition terms and concepts.

There will be an opportunity to network over a glass of wine and canapés after the seminar.
