COVID-19 Follow up Panel Talk: still here still challenging

Thursday, 26th November 2020 at 6:00pm till 7:00pm

A selection of Legal information professionals from our community including University and Law firm librarians and knowledge professionals and suppliers and recruiters are joining for a panel discussion on the professional challenges we have experienced throughout 2020. We will be revisiting themes that arose last time and also touching on issues that have surfaced throughout second lockdown and the realisation that this situation is persisting for longer than we originally thought.

Topics for discussion will include:

  • Managing hardcopy collections
  • Mind sets changing over time, from “This is just a short term, temporary situation” to “This is the new reality”
  • Employers attitudes – compassion v commercial reality
  • Managing morale / motivation
  • Effects of covid-19 on working patterns
  • Communication, meetings, collaborative workspaces
  • Training
  • Zoom fatigue
  • Lessons learned
  • How the legal sector has been affected and how this compares to other sectors

DON'T FORGET TO GET IN TOUCH IF THERE ARE TOPICS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE DISCUSSED! You can do this by either filling in our very short questionnaire or emailing jordanmurphy@bdbpitmans.com.
