Sherlock Holmes & the Art of Deduction Tour

Wednesday, 20th July 2022 at 6:00pm

Evening Tour, Central London – Wednesday 20th July (£5 for members)

Many of us would be forgiven for thinking our roles as researchers and information professionals have a whiff off the investigative sleuth about them. So why not join us to celebrate the greatest sleuth of all!

Few characters in literature are as instantly recognisable as Sherlock Holmes and the London in which he lived as iconic, the foggy back alleys and low-lives of London as important and distinctive as Holmes himself.

Stop at famous hotels, gentlemen’s clubs and even London’s only Sherlock Holmes Pub. Other notable stops include Great Scotland Yard, The Reform Club and The London Library. We will also delve a little into Conan Doyle’s life, including his friendship with Oscar Wilde and his belief in the paranormal.

Start time: 6pm

Meeting Point: The Shaftsbury Memorial Fountain

End Point: Near the Lyceum Theatre

Duration: 2 hours

Price: £5

We also invite members to linger after the tour for a drink*

So grab your deer stalker hat and join us to explore the London of Sherlock Holmes!
