Social media in the workplace

Join us for an evening seminar, where we will look at:
- The legal issues involved in using social media as a recruitment tool;
- Online misconduct – how far can an employer police what its employees say online?
- Employers’ liability for what staff do or say online
- Who owns social media content and contacts? - social media in the context of employee competition
Alex is an Associate in the employment team at HowardKennedyFsi LLP. She has a particular interest in social media, privacy and data protection, and in the human rights aspects of employment and discrimination law. Alex has a significant role in contributing to the Employment Department's e-alerts and blogs and is a regular speaker at client seminars and in-house training, as well as being a member of the Employment Lawyers Association Training Committee, regularly devising and chairing training events.
