Australian Legal Research
Monday, 5th October 2015 at 7:00pm till 9:00pm
Ever struggled when having to find an Australian case or piece of legislation? Worse still, ever had to manually track a case through the courts? Then the City Legal Information Group has the session for you. Come listen to Sue Ann Yap and Michael Green from JADE, a non-profit legal research citator service, discuss the significance of open access to law, practitioner-based research flow and being a disrupted + disruptive practitioner.
They will consider some of the big questions facing us all and give us a brief insight in to the approach being taken ‘Down Under’. Questions such as:
- The changing face of the Legal Librarian
- Current awareness versus reporters: is now more important than yesterday?
- The power of collaboration and open access to information
Networking drinks will be available afterwards for further discussion.
