The Global Financial Crisis has prompted a significant shift in the micro-prudential regulatory approach towards banks, investment firms and other financial institutions.  In the UK, the perceived failings of the 'tripartite' authorities have been addressed by a radical shake-up of the regulatory regime and its legislative underpinning.
