CLIG invites you to join our tour guide Daniella King (of Steps in the City) on this walk through Inner and Middle Temple to discover one of the secret areas of the City of London, while also being entertained with some of Daniella’s fascinating legal anecdotes.

As part of the tour we will also see Middle Temple Library (whose treasures include the Molyneaux globes, the earliest globes made in England, dating from 1592). We should also be able to see inside Middle Temple Hall, arguably the finest Elizabethan hall in country.

The area of the Temple is one of the hidden gems of the City of London: a maze of secret streets and beautiful gardens. It is also an area full of history and romance, crammed with stories of crusading knights, majestic monarchs and bawdy thespians. Not to mention judicious judges, bombastic barristers and scandalous solicitors. So if you would like to find out about the hidden history that lurks behind every wall or door in the City then don’t miss this lovely walk.

Meeting point: 6.30pm, outside the main exit of Blackfriars Underground station.
Walk: 6.30 – 7.30pm.
Followed by networking drinks (drinks not included in the ticket price)
Cost: £5 members / £18 non-members
